Sir Richard Branson is the 245th richest person according to Forbes’ 2008 list of billionaires as he has an estimated net worth of approximately $2.8 billion USD, and a very smart guy.
Richard has a keen business acumen, he looks at marketplaces where other companies are not doing a good job (according to him), and then he enters those markets with innovative products that are simpler, and deliver better services to the consumer at a lower cost.
Sounds like a simple formula, but surprisingly enough he’s often considered a pioneer in what he does.
I guess common sense is no longer common.
Now he is putting his Virgin signature on a new credit card offering entering the United States market: The Absurdly Simple Virgin America Visa Signature Card.
Among the rewards offered we find:
- Get a free one-way flight the first time you use your card
- No restrictions when you redeem your points.
- No annual fee.
- Earn 3,500 bonus points with your first purchase, that includes 1,000 bonus points for pre-registration.
As usual consult the official web site, and read all the fine prints before applying.
